Guess where I was tonight, and why I didn’t have time to take any other photos? Settings were f/1.8, 1/40, ISO 400, indoors with flash.
It was graduation night for our high school, and four students from my special education class were graduating. I had a busy evening finding my students in the crowd as they arrived, getting them into their places in the line-up, reassuring their parents and showing the parents where to meet them afterward, and refining plans to meet the extra special needs of a couple of the students during the ceremony. But in the end everything went off all right–the kids did fine in the graduation ceremony and we got them delivered safely back to their families, diplomas in hand. The cap and tassel in the photo are actually mine, though I didn’t wear it tonight. Faculty wears robes for graduation at our school but most of us don’t wear our caps.
