Just a few for today. Here are new green pine cones growing at the top of a tall pine tree. Settings were f/7.1, 1/1000, ISO 400.

A little wasp’s nest I knocked down from the eaves of the house. It was an old one, not being used. Settings were f/5.6, 1/1000, ISO 400.

The Leaf-Footed Bugs are mostly gone from the tomato plants after I removed every one I saw for a couple of days, but one turns up now and then. Settings were  f/7.1, 1.500, ISO 400.

Once again the only bird I saw when I went outside (except for the ever-present Mockingbirds dashing around in the distance) was a Mourning Dove. Settings were f/7.1, 1/500, ISO 400.

Sophie was watching me and looking so happy that I took her picture. She has become well-trained in our photography project, and as soon as she realized I was taking photos of her (just after this one was taken) she sat down and posed, turning her head to the right for a moment and then to the left. Settings were f/7.1, 1/1250, ISO 400.
