It was a rainy day today, and I had to sandwich a little photography in between rain, errands, and going out to a school event this evening. First is a lovely tomato blossom. We have lots of little tomatoes growing now, and many more blossoms on the plants. Settings were f/9, 1/640, ISO 500.
The lantana I planted on the side of the house last year is flowering. This is white lantana, with raindrops still clinging to the petals. Settings were f/8, 1/320, ISO 160.
Here’s a spider with beautiful coloring–green, yellow, orange, and white. We’ve had spiders like this one out behind the shed for several years, but I can’t remember the name now. I’ll have to look it up on BugGuide and What’s That Bug. Settings were f/8, 1/100, ISO 500.
And Sophie relaxing in the shade under the pool steps during a brief spell of sunshine! The young Brown Anole that was living around the pool steps hasn’t shown up for about a week, so it’s probably gone for good–either chased off to another territory, or picked up by one of the many birds coming through the yard. I was hoping it would stay there all summer. Settings were f/6.3, 1/320, ISO 160.
