I took a few photos of Mourning Doves today, the only birds that were around for photos when I got out with my camera. This dove was sitting up in the big pine tree. Settings were 5.6, 1/1600, ISO 400. I used manual exposure with center-weighted average metering.

This dove was walking around near the fence with a few other doves, and I got a photo before they all saw me and flew away. Settings were f/5.6, 1/500, ISO 400.

I’ve been wanting to take some photos of my two Masterpiece dolls together. Faith is 46 inches tall, the size of a 6-year-old with brown hair and brown eyes, and she was designed by Monika Peter-Leicht. Ethan is 40 inches tall, the size of a 4-year-old with blond hair and blue eyes, and he was designed by Monika Levenig. Both are all-vinyl with ball-jointed bodies–joints at neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knees. I got them both dressed in summer clothes and hauled them outside today for a photo session. Although they can both stand by themselves, I put them on their stands. I wanted them under the palm trees where the ground slopes a little, and I didn’t want them tipping over. For these photos I used my 18-55mm lens with manual exposure and center-weighted average metering.

A closer look at Faith and Ethan. Settings were f/7.1, 1/400, ISO 400.

And one last photo of these two together. Settings were once again f/7.1, 1.400, ISO 400.
