Faith is my life-size 6-year-old, a 46-inch-tall doll by Masterpiece Dolls. Faith got a new pair of saddle shoes to go with her school uniform recently, thanks to the Buy One Pair-Get One Half Off sale at Payless. The shoes arrived this past week and they are just what she needed. Settings were f/8, 1/200, ISO 200.

Faith in her school uniform and new shoes. Settings were f/7.1, 1/250, ISO 200.

And here’s Faith again. She is a very sweet little girl. Settings were f/7.1, 1/320, ISO 200.

I sat Faith on a small lawn table while Lulu was wandering around nearby. I had a dog treat for Lulu which I put in Faith’s hand, and Lulu promptly came over to investigate. Settings were f/6.3, 1/400, ISO 200.

Then Lulu very carefully took the cookie out of Faith’s hand and ate it. I wish I could have tilted Faith’s head to look down at Lulu more for this picture, but it happened too fast and there wasn’t time. Settings were f/6.3, 1/400, ISO 200.

Today I ordered a third Masterpiece doll to join Faith and her 4-year-old, 40-inch brother Ethan. I’ll wait until the arrival to introduce the new member of the family. I will say that it’s not one of the newest Masterpiece dolls, and that I looked carefully to find one that seemed to fit in well with the two I already have.

Over on the tomato plant a tomato from this second crop is finally ripening. Soon we’ll have a daily bowl full of cherry tomatoes. Settings were f/8, 1/100, ISO 320.

I saw the Mischievous Bird Grasshopper again today, still in the same area on the side of the house. The grasshopper seems to be darkening and looks more reddish-brown now. Settings were f/7.1, 1/125, ISO 200.

There were some tiny pale purple flowers in the grass, no more than about 3/8 inches across, and I took some photos of them. Settings were f/5.6, 1/160, ISO 200.

Nearby there was an ant nest, and I attempted a few ant photos. These were small ants, probably less than 1/4 inch long, and they were very quick, so it wasn’t easy. This is the one that turned out best. Settings were f/7.1, 1/200, ISO 200.

Last photo for Saturday is one I took through the front window of some European Starlings and a couple of House Sparrows sitting on a wire. Settings were f/5.6, 1/1000, ISO 200.
