The chokecherry tree is full of white blossoms just now. There are still berries there too, which the birds are enjoying. Settings were f/7.1, 1/400, ISO 400.

Here’s the Mockingbird out in the sun. Settings were f/6.3, 1/400, ISO 400.

I was surprised to see a White Ibis flying by today and managed a photo before it had disappeared. Settings were f/7.1, 1/400, ISO 400.

I also spotted the Cedar Waxwing that’s been traveling with the flock of Robins again. I hadn’t realize how small it is compared to the Robins–here it is with a Robin up above. Unfortunately the Cedar Waxwing kept positioning itself so that branches blocked part of my view, or so that it was facing away from me.  The tips of its tail feathers look orange here, but they’re actually a  bright yellow. Settings were f/6.3, 1/60, ISO 400.

Another shot of the Cedar Waxwing, with the yellow tips on the tail feathers clear. You can also see a hint of the red mark on the wing that many of them have. Settings were f/6.3, 1/320, ISO 400.

Last photo for today is just pine cones up in the big pine tree. Settings were f/7.1, 1/640, ISO 400.
