The weather was better today, and Sophie and I spent some time walking around the backyard. Over on the tomato pots the big male was posing.

A pretty tan female was scared of the camera and ducked behind the pot rim, but then she poked her head out to see what was happening.

There’s a group of juvenile anoles in and around the tomato pots, and they seem to like to climb on the tomato cages and the cut-back stalks of the plants. This one is a little female.

I looked up from the anoles and saw Sophie sitting in the middle of vines and plants in a rather wild corner of the backyard. If she was trying to hide by blending in with her surroundings it wasn’t working. I love the photo though.

One more of Sophie by the fence, with a little sun on her face.
