Mockingbird up on a wire, tilting its head to look around.

A tiny skipper butterfly, only about a half inch long. I haven’t figured out yet which skipper it is.

This squirrel was busy in the big pine tree today. It would pick a pinecone, carry the pine cone in its mouth to a comfortable spot, and then pull the pinecone apart and eat the pine nuts inside. The squirrel had at least 3 pinecones while I was watching. Clouds were passing by in the background of this first picture as the squirrel carried off a pinecone.
