The tiny baby brown anole is still hanging around the fence gate, and he was looking better today. Yesterday I could see his ribs showing, but he must have caught some of those small flies because he doesn’t look as skinny today. He ventured off the bottom rail and climbed up a little onto the fence of the gate. Here he is on the fence part of the gate, a few inches above the rail.

A closer look at the little anole. I’ve seen many very young anoles in this position, holding onto the fence wire and resting their heads against it too.

He was watching me and the camera today.

This photo is just about life size. You can see how very small the baby anole is. November is not the best time for a baby to hatch, but so far he’s doing pretty well.
