A rainy gray day today, and the few photos I took were from outside the back door through the drizzle. There were lots of little Palm Warblers in the backyard today, hopping and flitting around through the rain.

Palm Warblers have a very distinctive bright golden yellow underside beneath their tails, which I could see in the warblers in the yard today but didn’t catch in a photo. There’s just a hint of yellow showing under the tail of this warbler. They also pump their tails up and down almost constantly.

The other bird out in the rain this afternoon was an Eastern Phoebe. This pretty little bird posed on a fence across the yard from the back door, and this was the best I could manage.
