There were several cardinals on the fence this morning, male and female. This male sat still long enough for a photo.

Robin in a tree. Last year we had a couple of robins that didn’t migrate through with the flock, and stayed around to nest and raise some young ones. This may be one of our permanent residents.

This mockingbird was sitting on a wire out front this afternoon.

Something was making it itchy, and it swung its leg up to scratch its neck.

Then it moved into this pose, still balanced on one foot.
