This rumpled little bird appeared on a wire out front today, looking like it was soaking wet. It was about the size and shape of a bluebird and it had eyes like a bluebird.

There did appear to be some orange on its chest, but nothing else distinctive.

It flew off presently, and a little later there was a small bird in the same area again. It seemed to be the same damp, bedraggled bird, but with those blue wing feathers I could now definitely say it was a bluebird.

This bluebird made an appearance awhile after that. Either the first bird had finished drying off and smoothing out, or it was another bluebird coming around.

Very pretty bluebird too. This was probably my favorite photo today.

I love the way this little anole was giving me a side look.

And red cherry tomatoes on the tomato plant. Lulu’s been picking some, and the mockingbirds have had some too, but we still have plenty.
