I didn’t realized that this little anole had its mouth open and appeared to be licking something until I got the photos on the computer.

There are still lots of bluebirds around. I don’t think we’ve ever had a year like this, with so many of these pretty little birds in the neighborhood. Some I believe are adults, like this bird, though I’m not sure if it’s male or female.

The¬†juvenile bluebirds still have a lot of grayish brown coloring with spots and speckles on their chests, but more and more blue is showing on them. I’ll sometimes see a half dozen of them in the yard at the same time.
