It was a warm partly sunny day today, and the anoles in the yard came out to enjoy  it. This anole was sitting on a fence post.


And this one was looking out from under the rim of a large plant pot.


Mockingbird–this may be the same one I saw in this same area the other day. It’s standing on one leg.


Another swimming pool rescue here. This insect looks like it might be one of the burying beetles–beetles that actually bury small dead animals such as birds or mice,  which they use for food for themselves and their larvae.
