The weather was better today and the anoles came out when it brightened up. The three-legged anole was out sitting on his tile this afternoon. He has his throat pushed out a little–starting a display for someone nearby.

Someone down below him, it seems.

I heard a thump outside the window over the computer this afternoon. A Yellow-rumped Warbler had flown into the screen and was now sitting on the windowsill. I walked outside to check on it, and the warbler looked back at me.

The bird seemed more startled than hurt as it shifted position and moved around.

Just after this photo the warbler flew away.

A Downy woodpecker was busy in the trees today. This little woodpecker is only about 6 inches long, not much bigger than a sparrow.

Over near the back door, a little female anole poked her head out of one of my old yard shoes.
