We have a screen door anole again this year. Here he is on the outside of the screen door. He was a little skittish at first when the door moved or when the dogs or I went in and out, but he’s getting used to it.


This is the anole with the damaged dewlap. When he extends it, it’s not the normal rounded shape. There’s a thin bone in the edge of the dewlap that gives it its shape, and that bone is probably broken in this anole.


Here he is with his dewlap mostly retracted.


This anole amused me with his position as he sat on the bottom rail of the gate. He stayed like this for quite awhile.


The three-legged anole was out there today too. His leg stump doesn’t show in this photo but the dent in his side is visible.
