Baby anole climbing on the fence. Not a new hatchling–its body is bigger around than the fence wire–but still pretty young.

I was delighted to spot this baby anole in the gloriosa lilies.

Dear Sophie and Lulu. I love and miss those girls so much. Lulu was so funny, making us laugh every day, and Sophie was the happiest dog I ever met in my life.

Max is continuing to settle in with us. It’s an adjustment for us too–we were used to our senior citizen dogs, and Max is still like a puppy in many ways. He’s a lively little guy who loves to run around and play. He’s a bit mischievous sometimes, but he straightens up quickly when I stop him. He enjoys tossing his toys around and going out in the backyard with me.
