The Eastern Phoebe was back again today, but at first I wasn’t sure it was the phoebe. Instead of perching on the fence, it was high up in a tree, which made the viewing angle quite different. This is the tree with the berries that birds seem to love, and during this time of year many warblers and other small birds visit to pick and eat berries. And picking berries was what the phoebe was doing today.

Phoebe with a berry.

One more of the phoebe, looking a bit more like itself with its head turned to the side.

Two of the last few leaves left on that tree. Aside from a very few leaves, the tree is bare of everything but berries now.
